See Dr. Pimple Popper Eliminate a Massive Forehead ‘Unicorn’ Cyst
• In her newest Instagram video, Dr. Sandra Lee pops a large pilar cyst on a man’s forehead.
• A pilar cyst is a fluid-filled lump that tends to grow on the scalp.
• Pilar cysts are not common, affecting only about 5-10 percent of the population.
Most of us know what it’s like to struggle with a forehead pimple from time to time—they’re annoying and slightly embarrassing, but as long as you’re patient, they tend to go away after a few days.
Clearly, that’s not always the case, as Dr. Pimple Popper—aka, Dr. Sandra Lee—mentions offhandedly in her newest Instagram video. The video opens with Dr. Lee explaining that this patient has lived with this forehead cyst for the better part of five years. “Only recently it started to get a lot bigger,” she adds.
That’s putting it mildly: The video’s establishing shot frames what can only be described as a rhino-like protrusion on the middle of the man’s forehead. In her caption, Dr. Pimple Popper does her best to give his dilemma a more positive, and timely spin: “Happy Unicorn Day Popaholics!!” she writes. “Here’s a #pilarcyst that is ready to celebrate!”
Pilar cysts, you might recall if you’re a fan of these videos, are basically just fluid-filled lumps that tend to grow on top of the scalp. Despite how frequently they make appearances in Dr. Lee’s videos, they ‘re actually quite rare—affecting only about 5 to 10 percent of the population, according to Medical News Today.
Thankfully, there’s a happy ending to this man’s five-year struggle: Dr. Lee carefully slices and tweezes the cyst into submission. “It’s like the ice cream that comes out, when it’s half chocolate,” Dr. Lee says to her patient. Uh, yeah, sure, that’s exactly what we were thinking, too, doc.
