How would you score on a pimple-popping exam? If you’re a loyal Popaholic, you’d probably dive in feeling oh-so confident. But, there’s more you can learn from dermatologist Sandra Lee, MD, a.k.a Dr. Pimple Popper. Her latest Instagram video is an excellent example. In it, she tackles an eruptive vellus cyst. (Say what now?)
Eruptive vellus cysts usually appear as yellow to reddish-brown papules on the chest. That is just what you see when the video begins. Dr. Pimple Popper pops one after the other. She says “it’s like knitting” and “you just get sucked in.” She’s right, as always.
This one is truly mind blowing. One commenter added, “How did you even know that was there?!” Another fan wrote: “I didn’t realize how many different cysts, blackheads, etc. existed. They all look so different and pop differently. These ones are really interesting.”

She is spot on. First, she uses her comedone extractor tool. Then, she pokes it with a scalpel. After all that, she grabs the DPOW with her tweezers and yanks it out. One fan added, “That was a satisfying little plug at the end tho! 👌”
